Each person chooses independently from our full menu — so one of you could enjoy Traditional Thai while the other has an oil massage, or you could both choose the same treatment for a shared experience. Gift vouchers are available for couples massage if you would like to treat a partner, friend, or family member.

What to Expect

Both guests are treated simultaneously by Maliwan and a second therapist in a private side-by-side setting. A brief consultation before the session confirms each person’s preferred treatment, pressure level, and any areas to focus on or avoid. From that point, each guest receives their chosen treatment in full — the couples element adds to the experience without compromising the quality of the individual massage. Sessions run 60 or 90 minutes.

Can we choose different treatments?

Yes — each person chooses independently from the full menu. One of you might prefer Traditional Thai while the other opts for an oil massage or hot stone therapy. There is no requirement to have the same treatment.

Do you offer gift vouchers for couples massage?

Yes — couples massage gift vouchers are one of our most popular options. You can purchase a voucher at reception or mention it when booking by phone. We can include a personal message if it's a gift.

Do we both need to book at the same time?

Yes — both appointments are booked together so we can ensure the private room and a second therapist are available. Please book together or call us directly and we'll coordinate availability for both guests.

Is couples massage only for romantic partners?

Not at all — it's a lovely experience for any two people who want to share it. Friends, siblings, parent and adult child, or colleagues celebrating a milestone all make great use of it. The private room simply ensures both guests feel relaxed and comfortable together.

How long is a couples massage session?

Sessions run 60 or 90 minutes. The 90-minute option is worth considering if either guest wants more thorough work on a specific area — it's also a more generous and indulgent experience if you're booking as a treat or anniversary gift.

Can I book a same-day or evening couples massage?

Subject to availability — we're open Monday to Saturday 10am–8pm and Sunday 11am–6pm. Because couples massage requires a second therapist and the private room, advance booking is recommended. Call us on 07379 322305 and we'll check what's available.

Is there anything we need to prepare or bring for a couples massage?

Just arrive together with a few minutes to spare for a brief consultation before the session begins. Wear clothing that suits your chosen treatment — loose and comfortable for Traditional Thai, or simply be ready to undress to comfort level for oil-based treatments. Maliwan and the second therapist will guide you through everything.

I had a Thai massage here recently and the experience was a mix of positives and challenges. The massage room was spacious, ambient, and very comfortable, especially the massage table. The masseuse was friendly, attentive, and clearly skilled. The massage itself was mostly relaxing, but at times the pressure was stronger than I could comfortably handle. I was reassured it was “good pain” due to the tightness in my shoulders and back, but I did end up with bruises on my arms and back and felt very sore for a couple of days, which affected my sleep. On the positive side, a few days later I noticed that I felt lighter and less tense, which shows the massage did release a lot of tightness. I would recommend this place for those who like deep, strong pressure massages, but if you prefer something gentler, I suggest making this clear to the masseuse at the start.
